Proofreading and testing

If you want to avoid embarrassing moments while using the material, you have to see to a thorough proofreading and troubleshooting. The team members can carry out, but if your material is going to be used by a large audience, you should ask professionals, like English teachers and software engineers. 

  1. Considerations in terms of language:
    • Grammar
    • Style
  2. In terms of content:
    • Scientifically exact and correct content
    • Consistent elements
    • Complete material as a whole
  3. In terms of technology
    • Operation of the material is troublefree
    • It is in line with the storyboard
    • Adequate navigation

The result of the test can be put into a table, so that it is easy to comprehend, as more than one people will use it.

The tester fills the first and second column and passes the document to the person who is responsible for the element (graphic designer, programmer, etc). Sometimes it is more convenient to make a screenshot and insert it into the cell instead of writing a  novel on the error. Important: the testers should try each function in the material, not only taking pleasure of the pictures (forks, simulations, movies, etc).
