How to design assessment

 

 You have to define measurable and factual assignments to each learning objective with exact criteria to assess the students’ progress while using the elearning material.

 

  Elements of an assignmet belonging to a goal:

  • The task (What to do)
  • Criteria (Time-limit, size, other conditions, etc.)
  • Tools can be used (Software, help, circumstances, etc.)

Working out the assessment in this phase is a challenge, as the common practice is doing it at the end of the development. However putting it forward has a big advantage: the learning material will be adjusted to the learning objectives and to the material. Later we have to adjust the content to the assessment. This is the best way to make sure our material is going to be effective.
