The greater amplitude enables to see well the increased change. The hands of the balance are on a tilted plane during the rotation. When the resonance is perfect the angle of this plane doesn't change. By using a light pointer the resonance can be detected in an exact way. The growth of resonance is limited by the arising friction forces. |
