The frame story

The task is in a frame story, a museum has received the device in a parcel. The students' challenge to find out

• who made it;
• for what purpose;
• how does it work;
• as well as to sketch the physical background so that the device can be displayed in the museum.

There are lots of hints hidden in the material. The spot is a room in the museum with furniture.
